True Blue KOBELCO Returns to BAUMA 2013
Ending its alliance with CNH Global, Kobelco comes back to BAUMA after 10 years

Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. ended its global alliance with CNH Global N.V. on December 31, 2012. For the first time in 10 years, Kobelco is returning on its own to markets in Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East and Russia.

At Bauma, Kobelco will jointly exhibit a 26-tonne short radius hydraulic excavator with its sister company Kobelco Cranes Co., Ltd., the SK260SRNLC-3 2 piece boom specification. This excavator is noted for its compactness and outstanding stability, and Kobelco can confidently recommend it to European customers among its lineup of machines. The SK260SRNLC-3 clears the latest exhaust gas emissions, using a DPF-equipped Hino engine.

Kobelco’s latest excavator is equipped with a short tail swing feature, which has established Kobelco’s reputation ever since Kobelco entered the European market. Kobelco has also improved its low fuel consumption and low noise technologies. Kobelco’s innovative iNDr (integrated noise and dust reduction) system reduces noise 5dB in the SK260SRNLC-3 to an unbeatable low 95 dB in its class. In addition, new hydraulic circuitry, a proprietary technology, reduces pressure loss, resulting in considerable improvement in fuel consumption. In comparison to a conventional SK235SRNLC-2, the new excavator has improved its digging productivity (m3/L) by 6% in Heavy digging (H) mode and by 9% in the newly set ECO mode, versus the previous model’s Fuel saving (S) mode.

Kobelco machines are highly renowned for their low fuel consumption and low noise. Due to the high performance of its construction equipment, Kobelco has nearly doubled its market share in Japan, China and Southeast Asia over the past 10 years. Behind the Kobelco brand is a commitment to supplying customers with the most advanced technology available. For example, Kobelco’s energy-saving technology is fully utilized in its hybrid excavator, which in 2010 received Japan’s Minister of the Environment Award for the Prevention of Global Warming.

Effective January 1, 2013, Kobelco has started recruiting dealers from all over the world. Kobelco has received numerous dealer applications through its website, and owing to the high degree of interest, the company is confident of rebuilding a new sound and reliable dealer network.

However, there is still much open territory in strategically important regions and Kobelco is actively continuing its efforts to recruit new dealers.

At Bauma, Kobelco looks forward to reuniting many experienced blue-green Kobelco customers and ardent fans, as well as meeting prospective Kobelco dealers. Kobelco Construction Machinery will be jointly exhibiting at the Kobelco Cranes’ booth. Please visit the Kobelco booth at F12.1202/2. We look forward to meeting you.
